<\/p>

Here is an intriguing story about a little boy on the streets of McLeodGanj. I was walking down the Market lane when I came across this amazing piece of art very Lavishly showcased on a pretty poorly constructed display shelf of a store. The statue looked quite heavy to be sitting on the weak shelf. There was a young innocent-looking boy attending the customers with an enchanting smile. I entered the store just to warn the little boy about the weak piece of wood. His eyes glittered when he responded to this “This?”
he laughed a little.
“Do you even know what this is?” pulling it out of the rack he continued “This is a Kila! My great grandfather found it in the \u2018rajmahal\u2019!\u201c He said proudly. \u201cRajasahab used to keep it next to him while he slept. It is said that one night, one of his very loyal
guards Bahadur Brijesh Singh killed 5 attackers with this. He died soon after the unfortunate event. Since then Rajasahab always kept it on his nightstand. He carried it to all his battles. This is not some ordinary Kila. Nothing can happen to it.\u201d
He then handed me the Kila. I analysed it a little and realized that it is not as old and royal as he was describing. But his effort of narrating the entire story and his faith in the story won my heart. I did not want to burst the bubble of his belief so I bought
it right away.
Next day, walking through the same street, I saw the same Kila on the same poorly constructed shelf.
